Meet Our People: Gerald Gentile, Vice President of Information Technology

Gerald Gentile serves as Vice President of Information Technology at Deshler Group, bringing a wealth of experience and strategic vision to the role. He is the former President of Automated Media, Inc. (AMI), a distinguished IT firm he founded in 1989, renowned for its cutting-edge solutions and industry impact.
While at AMI, Gerry created ingenious technology solutions and developed successful systems for major automakers and other customers, including Ford’s Around the Wheel and Blue Diamond programs. AMI also designed comprehensive technology and project management support tools for Chrysler’s Mopar Service Excellence Program.
With a career spanning nearly five decades, Gerry has been a pioneering force in the information technology sector, with foundational roles at NASA and Burroughs Corporation. As an early advocate of UNIX-based systems for enterprise solutions, he has successfully established and grown multiple IT companies.
His deep expertise in delivering technology solutions to automotive suppliers, combined with his leadership in the development of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards, positions him uniquely to drive IT strategy at Deshler.
